"Take the Tractor Another round, Another Round"

Yes, I have spent the last week or so taking the tractor another round or two or three...

so many rounds, I lost count.

We were short on hay crew workers.....(my 3 boys) so I had to fill in.

Very boring....very monotonous!

My oldest son was stacking while I baled on this field....least I had company!

But today, It rained in the afternoon and we are out of the hay business for a few days!

This Vintage Kerosene Can has some character with it's dents and dings, but looks so cute with the prim sheep "Flocking to America" in their own parade.

This wonderful design comes from Kathryn Wrona who also has her own Etsy shop called CoveredBridgePrim

She has some beautiful things to offer.

I met Kathryn through Etsy when she saw another design of hers I had painted for my winter shows last year listed in my Etsy shop.

Kathryn was so kind to send me a copy of the "Flocking to America" pattern that was published in the August 2004 Create & Decorate magazine

Before and Afters

First let me show you the Patriotic minnow bucket I finished.

This is a variation of a DJ Williams design.

It has a few dents and dings!

The wording around the top is America...America God shed his grace on thee.

It has a 20 strand of battery operated LED lights inside to make it glow as lantern.

I will be listing this in my etsy shop today.

Here is the other chair that I needed to paint with turquoise, blue and green flowers.

Not as happy with the way this one turned out.

Hope my customer likes it, she is picking everything up today.

This is another custom order from same customer.

She wanted me to paint this for her grand daughter, Dagny.

Isn't that a cute name?

A 'Nit Pickin' Thing.....

Do you know those little "Nit Pickin" projects that you have every intention of doing, but never seem to get around to getting them done?

Well, I finally finished one of them ...I needed to freshen up the white paint and change the web address to my etsy shop on the wagon out by the road.

Looks much better now.

So while I was out snapping pictures, I came across some lovely flowers to show you.

And, last Friday I made a quick trip to my favorite antique dealer in Cheyenne, Wyoming and came home with a real gem.......

Here is the top of it.....

I cut the top tier shelf out and put in a potter with wave petunias...soon they will be pouring out of it.

I say that with such confidence!

I am not sure this is the location for this wonderful specimen of "old and chippy", but I have all summer to decide.

A Chair...A Donation...and Lots of Rain!

THE CHAIR...

A wonderful customer of mine asked me to turn this vintage chair into a flower planter. ( I forgot to take the before picture) She wanted something to match her vintage orange enamelware bowl that will be placed in the seat.

And she has a passion for paisley, so if you look closer, you can see a few paisley flowers in the mix. She will finish the transformation by taking the seat of the chair out and fitting the bowl.

This one she wants blue, green, and turquoise flowers.....I will post a picture when I get it finished.

THE DONATION...

About 5 miles to the north of us is the Buckeye Community Club. They are having their 2nd annual quilt show, where quilts will be on display from Northern Colorado and Cheyenne Wyoming Heritage Quilters. I made this sign for their silent auction.

It is painted on a very old door of a set back cupboard. This is a Renee Mullins design.

and finally...

THE RAIN......

We had almost 2 inches of rain last night in about 3 1/2 hours. The picture is not good because of the night time, but this is the sidewalk to our front steps....it got pretty soggy!!!!!
